Christmas tree (detail)Each year during the Christmas season our church is filled with Christmas trees sponsored by local organisations. Beautifully decorated trees and the smell of pine give pleasure to hundreds of visitors over the Christmas season.

Sponsor a tree

We are offering local businesses and community organisations the chance to sponsor a Christmas tree at this year's Christmas Tree Festival, which starts on Saturday 8 December. The cost is £40 per tree. For further details please go to the Christmas tree sponsors page.

Coffee morning

Join us for a coffee morning to launch our 12th Christmas Tree Festival. Enjoy seasonal refreshments amongst the lit Christmas trees.

Once again we will have decorated trees in our Church, sponsored by local businesses and organisations. Come and admire the trees and vote for the one you feel has been decorated in the best way to reflect their business or activity. Voting will also take place at our evening events.

Quiz Night

Join us and test your knowledge! Enter individually or as a team.

Tickets cost £10 and are available from Sue Trewhitt or call 07866 969147. The ticket price includes fish, chicken, or vegetarian burger with chips. Please state your food choice when booking.

Christmas Tree Festival - Salvation Army event illustrationCroydon Salvation Army Songsters and Band Ensemble in association with Carshalton Salvation Army come together for a performance of music, carols and readings entitled What's in a name?

Tickets £10.00 per person, including seasonal refreshments, are available from Sue Trewhitt or call 07866 969147. 50% of the profits will go to the Salvation Army.

Open Afternoon

Come and view our sponsored Christmas trees decorated by local businesses and voluntary organisations. Each tree will be different and you will have the chance to vote for your favourite.

Refreshments will be available. Admission free.

Children's Cinema

Christmas tree (detail)Cinema on your Doorstep brings you a children's film chosen by our Beavers and Rainbows. This film will be particularly suitable for children aged 5-7. Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult.

A Christmas Ceilidh

Christmas Ceilidh 2014Join Carshalton Village Ceilidhs and the Knock-Kneed Bumblebee Band with caller Peter Roud for this live-music event.

Enjoy music and dancing among our lit Christmas trees. There also will be a guest appearance from the Pennyroyal Clog Dancers. A fun night is guaranteed!

Tickets cost £12.00 (£6.00 for under-16s) and are available from Sue Trewhitt or call 07866 969147. The ticket price includes supper and refreshments.

Doors open at 7.15 pm. Dancing finishes at 10.30 pm.

Tickets for all events except the cinema can be booked from Sue Trewhitt by email, or by phoning 07866 969147. You can pay by online bank transfer (see below for our bank details), by cash, or by cheque (payable to Carshalton Methodist Church).

Please contact Sue to book your ticket(s) before making any payment. Let her know how you intend to pay. She will then give you any further information, and agree how to get your tickets to you.
