Friday 15 October 7.00pm - Film Tribute to J Arthur Rank with BBC Songs of Praise

The BBC Songs of Praise team joins our community cinema audience to celebrate the life and work of Joseph Arthur Rank, British film-maker and Christian philanthropist. Their researchers found our community cinema on the internet and would like to film a cinema evening in progress. We will be able to show that Lord Rank's vision for the use of cinema in churches is still alive in modern Methodism. The congregational singing for the Songs of Praise programme will be recorded in Carshalton Methodist Church on Thursday 14 October.

We will announce our special film feature soon. Please click on our Songs of Praise web page for more details http://www.carshalton-methodist.org.uk/bbc-songs-of-praise/

Enjoyed the film?

Then why not enjoy discussing it more at our REEL LIFE FILM GROUP?

Our next discussion group is on MONDAY 6 SEPTEMBER from 11.00am till 12 noon when we will be discussing the film Chaplin, shown at our community cinema on 4 September.  We will meet in the Upper Room of the Park Hall (formerly known as the Parlour). Refreshments are provided and all are welcome.
