Think local – discover the advantage

Carshalton Methodist Church supports and works with community-minded local businesses. We use them for our church maintenance, supplies and other work whenever we can. We encourage local businesses to promote themselves to our church members and to the community by sponsoring our events and activities.

We are pleased to publish details of the organisations who supported our 2018 Christmas Tree Festival and we encourage you to support them in return.

Our Christmas Tree Festival

Winning tree 2018
Atkins TLC Handyman Services

At Christmas, local businesses, community and voluntary organisations are invited to sponsor the lit Christmas trees in our church. Beautifully decorated trees and the smell of pine give pleasure to hundreds of visitors over the Christmas season.

In 2018, for the fourth successive year, Ian Atkins of Atkins TLC Handyman Services won the prize for the tree that best promoted its sponsor's business, as voted for by those attending festival events.

Second prize went to The Dogs Trust with Grayes Theatre Arts in third place. The winner in the young people's category was our Young Explorers.

For Christmas 2019 we will again be offering local businesses and community organisations the chance to sponsor a Christmas tree and publicise their business.

You can decorate your tree so as to publicise your business or group, and there will be several opportunities to do this during the week prior to the festival, which starts on Saturday 7 December 2019. Your organisation's details will appear in our festival brochure and will be featured on this website for the following 12 months.

Complete this form to enquire about sponsoring a tree, or phone Sue on 07866 969147 for further details.
